A Queens pileup on Grand Central Parkway killed one and injured eight early Sunday morning near 188th Street.
At 6:30 a.m., the multicar crash threw a man, in his 20s, from his car. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene, the New York Post reported. Others involved in the accident were rushed to North Shore Medical Center and Jamaica Hospital, with two suffering from critical injuries and the others sustaining minor injuries, but all are in stable condition, said WABC.
The crash completely crushed the front half of one car and overturned another, leaving a grisly scene of broken glass and debris.
