London police investigating after body found in wooded area

LONDON, Ont. – London police are investigating after a body was discovered in a wooded area of the city.

Police say a small group of people found the body while walking in the area around 6 p.m. Saturday.

They say the identity of the person has not been confirmed.

Police say evidence at the scene has been examined by forensic investigators and a coroner.

They say the evidence indicates the body had been there for an extended period of time prior to being discovered.
