A 57-year-old Lower Sackville man is facing several child pornography charges after police officers allegedly seized evidence from his home early Thursday morning.

RCMP spokesman Cpl. Joe Taplin said the arrest followed a week-long investigation by members of the municipality’s integrated child exploitation unit.

He said officers entered a residence at about 6 a.m., where they reportedly found four desktop computers, several CDs and four USB drives that contained “images related to child pornography.”

Investigators don’t believe there are any pictures of local children stored on the devices, Taplin added.

Kenneth James Dawson is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court Sept. 8 on charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distribution of child pornography, police said.
