ATHENS – Greek police detonated a parcel bomb addressed to the French embassy in Athens on Thursday, but checks on more than 20 other packages destined for embassies showed they were harmless. The parcel bomb, disguised in a hollowed-out book, was sent on Monday, when the first of a wave of devices was sent to foreign governments.
