A “substantial” drug bust in Okotoks yesterday morning netted authorities almost $400,000 in marijuana, according to RCMP.
Cpl. S. L. Beattie said 318 plants were seized as well as growing equipment in the search that was co-ordinated with the Calgary RCMP Emergency Response Team.
“It was nice to see people in the community were commenting while we were there because a bust like this takes a lot of work and co-operation,” Beattie said, adding the two-month investigation was the result of information from the public.
“It’s especially good to get this much quantity out of the community and off the streets,” she added.
Two adults and one youth were arrested, but charges are still pending. Some of those arrested were known to police.
