Take a boast cruise

Hit the Bronx
If you’d rather hop on the subway, stop by the Wave Hill public garden and cultural center in the Bronx for a walking tour. Horticultural Interpreter Charles Day will share his favorite trees at the city park. The walks begin at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 7. Head to Bear Mountain
It’s the last weekend to join in on Circle Line’s Bear Mountain cruise. Guests enjoy the fall foliage before being dropped off at Bear Mountain to enjoy Oktoberfest with live music, dancing, craft vendors and more. Boarding begins at 8:30 a.m, and the boat leaves at 9 a.m. It arrives back to Pier 83 at 5:30 p.m., both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for adults are $50, seniors $41 and children $31.
