Man accidently shoots himself at range

An Ottawa man shot himself in the leg Friday morning an area range.

Ottawa police say officers were called to the Stittsville Shooting Ranges on Fernbank Road at about 10:15 a.m.

They found a 32-year-old Ottawa man had an “accidental self-inflicted” gunshot wound to his leg.

The man was taken to the hospital were he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police recovered the firearm at the scene and are investigating.
