A 27-year-old Bedford man has been charged with dangerous driving after a vehicle smashed into a business on the Bedford Highway early yesterday.

Halifax Regional Police say the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed outbound on the Bedford Highway near Meadowbrook Drive at 12:40 a.m. when it left the road and smashed into a fence and deck of WCL Bauld Insurance.

Police say the man was the only person in the vehicle and was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol wasn’t a factor in the crash.
