Man charged after he threatens bus passenger with hammer

City police have charged a 22-year-old Ottawa man in relation to an incident on an OC Transpo bus last week.

Police said that on Friday afternoon, a lone male armed with a hammer threatened a male passenger riding an OC Transpo bus on route 96 near Scott Street. Police said the male suspect appeared to be intoxicated and acting in an irrational manner.

Henry Otto has been charged with escape custody, uttering threats, possess weapons dangerous and two counts breach of recognizance.
