Cops here have charged an Ottawa man after a vehicle struck and dragged a woman at a west-end park and ride location earlier this week.

Ottawa police said Friday that at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday, a 53-year-old woman, who was picketing at the Woodroffe Avenue park and ride, was struck and dragged by a vehicle as it drove into the parking lot from the exit entrance.

The woman was not injured.


The male driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene but was released pending further investigation.

On Friday, police charged a 26-year-old Ottawa man with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
