A 62-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault after a serious altercation between a man and woman in south Ottawa early Sunday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a call for a 54-year-old woman who was bleeding profusely from life-threatening injuries in the area of Bank Street and Athans Avenue on Sunday.
A short time later, police and paramedics found a man who was also bleeding at a residence in Levadia Street.
Both were taken to the trauma centre at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus.
A man was taken into custody and is facing charges. Abbas Saramgarm appeared in court Monday.
