Man dead after Red Deer shooting

Mounties in Red Deer are searching for suspects after a 29-year-old man was apparently shot to death while he sat in the front seat of a car yesterday.

A drug deal gone wrong may have led to Brandon Prevey’s death, police suspect, as the victim had direct ties to the drug trade.

He was found dead in a vehicle in the Inglewood area of Red Deer, shortly after 3 a.m.

An autopsy is pending, and homicide detectives continue to investigate.
