One man is dead following a crash near Thorsby yesterday morning.
A white Toyota truck was travelling northbound on Secondary Highway 778 around 10:30 a.m., when it slid off the road into an east ditch, striking an approach.
The lone driver, a 44-year-old Calgary man, was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Emergency crews responded, and transported the victim to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Mounties are still investigating to determine a cause for the collision.
The name of the victim is not being released, pending notification of next of kin.
