A golfer who was recovering in hospital for more than two weeks after being hit by a bolt of lightning at a course in Smokey Lake has died.
David Nyhus, 48, of Fort Saskatchewan was struck by lightning Aug. 3 in the community 110 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.

Nyhus was brought to an Edmonton hospital by air ambulance and put into intensive care, but died on Monday from his injuries.
He left behind a wife and four children. A funeral service will be held tomorrow in Fort Saskatchewan.
