A Dartmouth man is facing charges of drug cultivation and possession after police say they found a grow-op in a house on Highfield Park Drive.

Police say they received information about a house near the intersection of Victoria Road and Highfield Park Drive and found mature marijuana plants, marijuana, and grow-op equipment.

Officers didn’t find a certificate that allows grow-ops to produce marijuana for medical reasons. As a result, it is suspected the operation was growing to sell.

The suspect, 29, was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date.
