A man being sought for growing marijuana and possessing 24 unsecured guns turned himself into police in Musquodoboit Harbour on Monday night.
Police say they were investigating a call on Friday night about a drunk driver in East Chezzetcook who was allegedly threatening someone trying to prevent him from taking the wheel when they received a tip that there were firearms in the residence.
Police then obtained a search warrant, and allegedly found nine rifles, 14 shotguns, a sawed-off shotgun, various ammunition, along with a grow-op with 246 marijuana plants.
Joseph Roger Belanger, 53, faces multiple charges.
