A 46-year-old man has been found dead inside a wooden grain bin near Taber.
Const. Myron Lemke of the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP said the body of Mike Collett was found completely covered in grain inside the bin around 2 p.m. Friday, 12 km south of Taber.
Collett, a father of three girls, was unloading grain from the inside of the bin at the time of his death.
It’s not yet clear whether the incident is a farming fatality or if Collett had a pre-existing medical condition that contributed to his death, something Lemke said would be determined once the medical examiner’s office has completed its investigation.
