Ottawa police are looking into a call about a suspicious man who tried to pick up two girls in a bus.

Police say two girls, aged nine and 14, were waiting for their school bus Friday morning at about 7:30 a.m. in Orleans.

An unfamiliar man, driving an older model empty bus, stopped in front of the girls at Charlemagne Boulevard and Martinoff Way.

Police say the driver told the girls he was driving for three different schools that day and told them to get on.

The girls refused and left the area.

The driver is described as a French-speaking man, 60 years of age, grey hair and thin build with a possible deformity to one of his hands.

The vehicle is described as an older model, yellow school bus, very dirty with no name markings.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944.
