A man in his mid-20s is in stable condition in hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds late Saturday night. Paramedics found the man after being called to an assault in the 300 block of Eagleson Road. Police are investigating.
Police are seeking a suspect after a man unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Richmond Road Shoppers Drug Mart Saturday afternoon. Just before 4:30 p.m., a suspect handed staff a note asking for drugs and then tried to gain access to the safe using staff keys without success.
Police are investigating a collision after a man was airlifted to hospital following an ATV crash on Vances Side Road Saturday evening. Police said the off-road vehicle flipped over on private property after striking a tree. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
Police are investigating after a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Central Park last Tuesday. The woman was walking in the south end of the park near Clemow Avenue at around 10 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind and dragged into a secluded area of the park and sexually assaulted.
A 16-year-old faces child pornography-related offences after police executed a search warrant in the city’s east end last week. They seized numerous computers and external digital media from the residence and images, videos and text documents of child pornography were located.
A Hearst man faces charges following a collision that left a 22-year-old Ottawa male in hospital with serious injuries. The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of the MacDonald Cartier Bridge on the Ontario side Saturday morning. Martin Bernier faces charges.
