Police have a man in custody facing a long list of charges after an alleged Grand Theft Auto-style carjacking over the weekend.

On July 24, a man was allegedly held up at gunpoint and robbed of his car and wallet near 111 Street and 23 Avenue.

Police believe the victim’s car was used in a gas and dash following the theft, and several attempts were made to use his credit card.

Officers kept undercover surveillance on the car until Monday morning, after it was discovered parked on 35 Avenue and 105B Street Sunday night.
