Police say a man was sent to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries following a stabbing incident in a northeast strip mall.
Duty Insp. Geoff Gawlinski said police cordoned off a large area near the Village Square strip mall on 52 Street and 26 Avenue NE in an effort to pinpoint the exact location of the altercation that occurred around 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
“We’re trying to locate the scene but we have officials out there. A man was sent to hospital and we are still seeking an offender. We have some leads we’re looking into,” Gawlinski said last night.
Police didn’t have many details on the altercation but did confirm a man was in hospital with serious stab wounds as they continue to investigate. Police have made no arrests.
