Police have identified the man shot to death by an officer in Vancouver on Friday as 58-year-old Michael Vann Hubbard, of no fixed address. Const. Jana McGuinness said an autopsy found Hubbard died of a single gunshot wound.

According to the officers involved in the incident, the man was shot after approaching them with a boxcutter and refusing orders to drop the weapon.

McGuinness said investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from two separate sources, but didn’t say what those sources are.

A Vancouver man claims he videotaped the shooting on his cellphone, but that an officer called to the scene took the phone and deleted the footage.
