Vancouver police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night in a Vancouver West Side neighbourhood, which resulted in a man being shot in the leg.
A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital and is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident happened at 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Oak Street and 20th Avenue.
Police do not believe that the shooting was random. However, Const. Jana McGuinness said the motive for the shooting is unclear.
Investigators have spoken to six people in the vicinity of the incident, and are asking anyone who may not have spoken to police to contact them.
