Man slashed in altercation

Halifax Regional Police say a man was taken to hospital over the weekend with non-life threatening injuries after an early morning altercation with another man resulted in the 26-year-old victim receiving a slash wound to his face.

Halifax Regional Police say a man was taken to hospital over the weekend with non-life threatening injuries after an early morning altercation with another man resulted in the 26-year-old victim receiving a slash wound to his face.

Police say the incident took place at about 4 a.m. on Saturday at the 1800 block of Barrington Street. The victim was taken to hospital in Halifax, while police say the suspect fled the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his mid 20s, between five-foot-11 and six feet, with short dark hair. He was also said to be sporting a white jacket.
