A 21-year-old man was in hospital on the long weekend after being robbed and stabbed Saturday night in north end Halifax, police say.
Halifax Regional Police said the man was walking near Brunswick and Gerrish streets when three male suspects attacked him just after 8 p.m. They pushed him onto the ground and punched him before grabbing his kit bag and running away.
It wasn’t until he got home that the victim realized his upper body had been stabbed, at which point he went to Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre for treatment, police said. No arrests had been reported as of Monday.
