A 62-year-old Indian man won a $1 million jackpot just six days after surviving a plane crash, proving he truly is the luckiest man in the world.

Mohammad Basheer Abdul Khadar was one of 300 passengers and crewmembers that survived the Emirates flight from India that crash-landed in Dubai’s main airport last week, according to the NY Post.

The 62-year-old cashed in his good luck six days later when he won $1 million U.S. dollars in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire lottery.

Khadar scored the golden ticket at the Dubai International Airport while on his way to his homeland in the south Indian state of Kerala. The India native said he always buys a lottery ticket when he vacations in Thiruvananthapuram, according to Gulf News.

“I feel like God gave me a second life when I survived the plane crash, and blessed me with this money to follow all this up by doing good things,” Khadar told Gulf News.

Khadar has been living in Dubai since 1978, but reportedly plans to return to India after he retires from his car dealership job to help people in need, specifically children in Kerala.
