A man who allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old woman in a Park Lane mall bathroom last month was arrested Tuesday night by Halifax Regional Police.
Antron Dann, 19, of Sackville, is charged with entering the Park Lane women’s bathroom on Sept. 14 with what the victim described as a sharp, shiny object. Police say the woman screamed for help and the suspect fled. The woman was unharmed.
Police say they were able to identify Dann as a suspect but couldn’t find him at his last-known place of residence.
But they say Tuesday he was arrested for allegedly shoplifting in a Bedford mall. Police say the arresting officer saw that Dann was wanted by them and took him into custody.
Dann faces charges of voyeurism, assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon. He also faces charges of theft and possession of stolen property from the alleged shoplifting incident. He made his first appearance in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday.
