Man wanted for DJ’s murder found in Ontario

Authorities have located and arrested a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder in relation to the death of a Calgary DJ.

The man was arrested in Scarborough, Ontario without incident on Wednesday and Calgary police are in the process of bringing him back to the city to face charges.

On May 18, police responded to a weapons complaint at the Penbrooke Community Association at 6100 Penbrooke Dr. SE where Alston George Smith was injured during an altercation at a private party where he was the DJ. He later died in hospital.

Lorenzo Nembhard, 24, faces second-degree murder charges in relation to the incident.
