Maple Leaf Foods execs take pay cut

Key executives at Maple Leaf Foods received smaller paycheques in 2008 as it endured a tainted meat scandal.

President and CEO Michael McCain saw his total compensa­tion cut to $4.4 million from $8 million in 2007. President and chief operating officer Scott McCain kept most of his compensation, earning $2 million in 2008, down from $2.6 million.
