Marlies’ Colborne to start in all-star game

SPRINGFIELD, États-Unis – Toronto Marlies forward Joe Colborne is among the starters for the AHL all-star game.

The starting lineups for the game, Jan. 30 in Atlantic City, were determined by fan voting.

Colborne will line up with forwards Jon Matsumoto of San Antonio and Philippe Cornet of Oklahoma City, defencemen Ryan Ellis of Milwaukee and Alex Plante of Oklahoma City, and goalie Cedrick Desjardins of Lake Erie on the Western Conference team.

The Eastern team is forward Cory Conacher of Norfolk, Cam Atkinson of Springfield and Hershey’s Keith Aucoin, defencemen Mark Barberio of Norfolk and Simon Despres of Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, and Adirondack goalie Michael Leighton.

Mark Borowiecki, a defencemen with the Binghamton Senators, was also added to the Eastern Conference roster Wednesday.

The 22-year-old from Kanata, Ont., has three goals and 12 assists in 42 AHL games this season. He made his NHL for the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 19.
