How do you age successfully? Marriage helps. Kids don’t, necessarily.

 

Believe it or not, being married is one of the things that helps you remain healthy and independent later in life, according to a study of 5,600 people done recently at the New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging school of osteopathic medicine.

 

But whether or not you have kids doesn’t seem to make a difference in terms of healthy aging, researchers found. (Many would argue kids accelerate the aging process!).
