Massage parlour hired students, court hears

Repeated insistence that she join her boss in a back room for a “training session” was enough to send an 18-year-old woman running from her job a downtown massage parlour, she said yesterday.

The woman, who cannot be named, stood in a witness stand yesterday, describing how she repeatedly made excuses to avoid a “session” behind closed doors of a “Jacuzzi room” with Vishva Juneja.

“He kept insisting, and I didn’t want to go — he was creepy,” she said.

Juneja, 64, pleaded not guilty earlier this week to two counts of keeping a common bawdy house, and living off the proceeds of prostitution.

Police allege the former driving instructor attempted to lure students to work at Hustler’s Men’s Massage and Just For Men. The woman claims when she came to work for Juneja, she was duped into believing she’d make thousands.

“He told me if I really wanted to make money, I should just accept whatever the client was offering, even if it wasn’t much,” she said.

Juneja ran ads in the Edmonton Sun, she testified, offering “2 for 1” deals, where clients could have sex with two women at the same time.

She claimed after Juneja took his $60 “room fee,” she would pocket about $100 per client.

The few times she dared to turn down clients, Juneja would become enraged, she testified.

The trial continues Friday.
