Matthew Williamson is brightening up menswear.
The British designer, known for his characteristic colourful, often striking use of hot hues, is debuting a capsule menswear collection on Feb. 15. This comes on the heels of his successful collaboration collection with global retailer H&M.
The clothes, which will be unveiled for spring/summer 2010, will be expanded seasonally and available exclusively at London’s Harrods department, at Matthew Williamson shops and through the designer’s online boutique at matthewwilliamson.com.
The collection will comprise cashmere jumpers, printed and beaded T-shirts and printed scarves woven in natural fibres.
In a recent statement, the designer commented: “I wanted to start a menswear line of slim fitting, luxury cashmere jumpers in a range of great colours. I know these jumpers will become season-less staples in my own wardrobe. Cashmere and silk printed scarves and hand beaded T-shirts compliment the line and form a solid foundation for the collection to grow next season.
