Green Party Leader Elizabeth May will be in Halifax on Saturday tohost what is being called Rallying For Democracy.

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May will be in Halifax on Saturday to
host what is called Rallying For Democracy.

The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at Sackville Landing on Lower Water Street.

The rally is one of five to take place across Canada between Thursday and next
Monday as May continues to fight against not being allowed to participate in
next week’s televised leaders’ debates.

May’s battle took a major hit on Tuesday when Federal Court judge Marc Nadon
refused to make an emergency ruling on the case before the debates get
underway.

The first rally is Thursday in Toronto,
followed by Montreal on Friday, Halifax,
Hamilton, Ont. on Sunday and Vancouver on Monday.

This will be May’s first visit to Halifax
since the election was called.
