Nicole Kidman claims the media has twisted her words, says. After reports that she is unhappy with her performance in new movie Australia, she insists that her comments have been hugely misinterpreted, the website adds.

The Moulin Rouge star said in an interview with Sydney radio station 2DayFM, that she “can’t look at this movie and be proud of what I’ve done.” She added that she couldn’t “connect to it emotionally.”

However, the actress is adamant that the she was in fact referring to her whole body of work and not just this production. She claims that she can never bear to watch herself on screen.

A representative for the actress told Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald: “It is quite ridiculous for anyone to believe that reports if they listened to the actual interview. It’s hard to believe some of the world’s media have fallen for it.”

The article printed in Australian newspapers stated: “Miss Kidman, who attended the premiere with country singer husband Keith Urban, said: ‘I can’t look at this movie and be proud of what I’ve done. I sat there and I looked at Keith and went, ‘Am I any good in this movie?’”

The star appears opposite Hugh Jackman in the newest tale by Baz Luhrmann, which opened up last month to mixed reviews.
