TORONTO – Fresh from her time in Canada with the Spice Girls, Melanie C, also known as Sporty Spice, will soon tour the country on her new solo album, “This Time.”
The album, released Tuesday, features the single “Carolyna.” Melanie C kicks off a nine-city Canadian tour on May 4 in Montreal and wraps it up May 17 in Vancouver.
Melanie C is the most musically successful of the five Spice Girls. She’s co-written 11 U.K. No. 1 singles – more than any other female artist – and remains the only female performer to top the charts independently in Britain and as part of a duo, quartet and quintet.
Other cities on the tour: Ottawa, Toronto, London, Ont., Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Calgary.
