Police are still looking for two men who attacked a Good Samaritan and beat him unconscious on Friday.
The man stepped in to intervene when the suspects, who police say were possibly impaired by alcohol or drugs, were acting aggressively towards a male staff member at a downtown restaurant.
“It’s absolutely outrageous to engage in that kind of physical attack on anyone,” said Sgt. Frank Cattoni. “This is our primary investigation, our top priority. We need to find out who did this.”
Cattoni said the victim sustained severe facial injuries but is in stable condition. Police released video surveillance yesterday. One suspect is Caucasian, in his mid-20s to early 30s, about five-foot-eight with a medium build and dark brown hair. The other is the same height and age with a small-to-medium build.
