After a morning of wet, windy weather yesterday, Environment Canada is predicting more of the same for the week to come.
The weather forecast for the next week calls for more rain and clouds, meteorologist David Rodgers said, with slightly lower than seasonal temperature of highs in the mid-teens.
“Summer’s over I’m afraid,” he said.
The cold, wet weather might seem out of the ordinary this early in the fall season, but Rodgers explained this is fairly typical for late September.
“We’ve just had three weeks of very benign weather, so the weather may seem unusual, but fall storms are always energetic,” he said.
What was unusual yesterday was the blustery wind, Rodgers said. This was due to a low-pressure system pushing a cold front through southern Ontario, he said.
