Human rights advocacy group Amnesty International begins its 15th annual film festival tonight at VanCity Theatre. The four-day festival highlights social conscience issues through 20 award-winning fictional short films and feature-length documentaries.
AIFF will also include guest speakers or panel discussions, with routes of action plans related to the particular film.
The films are largely made by independent filmmakers on a modest budget in unstable political regions.
Tickets start at $7 and can be purchased at the door or online at van.amnestyfilmfest.ca.
