Today is your last chance to take in the Calgary Zoo’s 12 days of Christmas celebration. For the past 11 days, zookeepers have been giving gifts of “festive enrichment” to various animals around the park in tune with the age-old Christmas song. Some of the recipients of these gifts have included “six hogs a-digging,” “loud gibbons calling” and “a hippo in a cool pool.”
The celebration will conclude at 11:30 a.m. today with “snow monkeys playing” at the Japanese macaque exhibit in the Eurasia area. The celebration is open to visitors as part of the general admission fee. For more information, visit calgaryzoo.ab.ca.
