Celebrate Chinatown’s 100th birthday by bringing your blankets and popcorn to Movie Night at Sien Lok Park, behind Bowside Manor.
Tonight at 8 p.m., live performances of Pipa, Latin dancing, and Chinese instruments will kick off the movie, which will run with English subtitles.
“We want to build relationships with outside communities,” said the Calgary Chinese Community Service Association spokesperson. “We try to show movies that will teach people about Chinese culture or have some historical truths.”
Come learn and celebrate the Chinatown Centenary.
