Space, the final frontier ... is coming to the Discovery Centre this weekend. The Barrington Street science-based play place is opening a new exhibit Saturday called Cosmomania. It explores the last 50 years of space exploration and takes a look at what’s possible in the next five decades. The exhibit highlights five major moments in space history: The first human to travel to outer space (1961); the first man to walk on the moon (1969); the first launch of an Ariane rocket (1979); the first Internet retransmission of an image of the Martian surface (1997); and the first flight of a Taikonaut (2003). Then check out the Mars Base for 2057.
