Located at the city’s western edge before the Greenbelt, Dick Bell Park is home to the Nepean Sailing Club, with a marina that is home to several hundred boats.
On a good day, the Ottawa River is teeming with all sorts of vessels. You don’t need a boat of your own to enjoy the unobstructed view of the Ottawa River and the Gatineau Hills from the second-floor club room and lounge overlooking the harbour.
While you’re there, take a stroll to the lighthouse on the northern tip of the harbour. Watch your step though; the park is home to hundreds of Canada geese.
