Extra, extra, read all about it. The Free Press Bistro in downtown Edmonton is putting the sandwich back on the front page. The Free Press Bistro (10014–104 St.) specializes in panini — hot, pressed sandwiches that rose to popularity in Milan in the 1980s — and unique ingredients.

Try the Cuban, with grilled pork, smoked ham, dill pickles and Dijon pressed with Monterey Jack. Or maybe a Kubla Khan, with lean strips of beef, marinated in Mongolian spice and pressed with chilies, shredded carrot, Hoisin sauce and mozza.
