A couple of dollars goes a long way when you know where to shop.
Stock up on your beach or cottage reading at The Friends’ Bookshop, located at nine City of Ottawa library branches including Cumberland, Orleans, North Gloucester, Vanier, Greenboro, Centennial, Centrepointe, Kanata and the main branch on Metcalfe Street.
These stores are stocked with thousands of books, textbooks, CDs, DVDs and video cassettes on every subject, which have been taken out of circulation or donated by library patrons. These treasures can all be had for a fraction of the original price, said volunteer Cam Edwards.
