Take a minute to get well at the Healing Gardens.

Adopted by Parks Foundation Calgary, the gardens are designed to develop our innate connection with nature, said Myrna Dubé with the Foundation.

Beautiful barrel gardens, of all different colours, textures, tastes and smells, line the promenade at Haultain Park, on the corner of 2nd Street and 13th Avenue.

“Even just a few minutes can offer cognitive, social, physical, emotional and spiritual benefits for observers,” said Dubé.

The gardens are maintained by participants from the Society for the Treatment of Autism, Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta, and Alpha House Society, among others.
