The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will chug into Calgary Saturday evening.
This is the 12th year the decorated freight train has journeyed across North America, collecting donations for local food banks. Since its inception, the program has brought in nearly $5 million in cash donations and more than two million pounds of food.
The train is decked out with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights and Canadian rockers The Odds are aboard this year to perform. The train is scheduled to stop in town at 9511 Horton Rd. SW around 7 p.m.
