If you have a minute to spare today in Calgary, take a walk through Prince’s Island Park to check out the colours of fall. In addition to the falling leaves, the park boasts a few different pathways, gardens and sculptures and is open year-round. Before the birds head south for the winter, make sure you stop by the river to feed the geese and ducks.

Prince’s Island Park is also home to the River Café, the first restaurant in Canada to receive LEAF certification — and it carries local cuisine in its sit-down restaurant as well as offering picnic baskets for those wishing to eat in the park.
