Hiro Kanagawa’s The Patron Saint Of Stanley Park opens tonight at the Arts Club Theatre Company’s Revue Stage (1601 Johnston St.) on Granville Island. The play tells the story of a pair of children who are rescued on a stormy Vancouver Christmas Eve by a mysterious vagabond. They experience visions and are shown a fantastical world beneath Prospect Point. Kanagawa, who has worked on a number of local TV series, says the play is a modern variation of the tale of Saint Nicholas of Myra, a.k.a. Santa Claus. The play runs until Dec. 26. Tickets are $25 and $35 and are available through the Arts Club Box Office, 604-687-1644 or www.artsclub.com.
