The Alberta Legislature Building was finished in 1913 and took six years to build at a cost of $4 million.

The is home to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, one of two components of the Legislature of Alberta, the other being the Queen represented by the Lieutenant-Governor.

The building also plays host to many celebrations over the year. From Canada Day to cannabis day, fireworks to figure skating, the Leg is known as a gathering place in all seasons.

Guided tours are available, or spend some time relaxing in the giant wading pool out front.

The Alberta Legislature Building is located on 107 Street just north of the river.
